The American Legion offers a variety of programs to help our community’s youth excel and succeed. From college scholarships to coloring contests, there are opportunities for just about all grade levels.

Scholarships
Post 346 College Scholarships
2023 Application Deadline will be announced soon
Our programs benefit students in Monmouth County, and the Post’s committees are dedicated to running successful programs. Each year we offer 5 scholarships to exceptional high school students pursuing a college degree:
Requirement: Student must be a graduating senior of MAST, Neptune, or Wall High School. Must be enrolled in R.O.T.C program.
Send completed applications to: American Legion Post 346, 21 Gully Road Neptune NJ 07753. Be sure to add “Attention: Wil Fetherman” to the front of your envelope to ensure your application is received.

Department of New Jersey Scholarships
The State head of the American Legion (Department of New Jersey) also offers scholarships each year. More information on these scholarships can be found here (scroll down to the “Education and Scholarships” section).
Annual Coloring Contest
Each year Post 346 in conjunction with the American Legion Department of New Jersey holds a coloring contest for students in grades 4-5. Our committee has our Post members vote on the top three submissions:
1st Prize: $100 (Advances to the state finals)
2nd Prize: $75
3rd Prize: $50
Eagle Scout of the Year
Each year, the American Legion Department of New Jersey asks each Post to submit an exceptional Eagle Scout from the community in their local area. The winners are awarded scholarship grants.
